As a neurodivergent person I love to learn new stuff and talk about it. Then I go to conferences and make it other people’s problem.

With a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry Dr. Sasha Göbbels never worked as a chemist but went straight into software development. After writing software for telco providers, airports, a pharma research center and the German Federal Criminal Police Office she fell for web development.
First as an individual contributor, then as a tech/team lead and then in managerial roles, because she discovered that working with people is even more awesome than working with tech alone. The positions she has held include senior engineering manager, head of software development and head of department. On her way she also co-founded two companies.
She’s addicted to doing conference talks and is a regular contributor to the International PHP Conference, Unicorns In Tech Summit and LeadDev Berlin.
But still she couldn’t let go of writing software. Sasha is trans femme and likes to write about herself in third person.
